Mary-Ellen Kramer, Thoughtful Engagement® Specialist

Mary-Ellen Kramer
Thoughtful Engagement® Specialist

Mary-Ellen joined The Aging Space™, Inc. in November of 2022. She has held many different and interesting jobs over the years (writer, editor, special education advocate, certified yoga instructor), but most recently she was an in-home caregiver for aging clients. This is where she discovered that she has a special talent for finding specific activities that bring joy to her senior clients.

She took these skills to The Aging Space™, Inc. and is happy to be their Thoughtful Engagement® Specialist. This is a unique title but perfectly describes Mary-Ellen’s role at The Aging Space™, Inc. Mary-Ellen believes every client deserves joy in their life and enjoys helping them find it. The pandemic was hard on everyone, but especially for populations who already felt slightly isolated. Mary-Ellen understands this and can meet clients where they are and help them discover what they once loved (sometimes in a new and interesting format). She can also come up with fun plans that involve leaving the house, or she can bring the once loved activity to the client. The sky’s the limit and Mary-Ellen’s imagination is always ready for a new challenge to bring joy to her clients.

When not working, Mary-Ellen enjoys collecting and reading recipes that she swears she will make one day, and spending time with her husband, her adult children and her rescue dog, Nicholas.

Diane Donegan, Care Manager Assistant

Diane Donegan
Care Manager Assistant

A few years ago Diane was working as a housekeeper at an assisted living facility. While she enjoyed that job, she found that she mostly enjoyed interacting with the residents. It was at this time that she decided that she could be doing more for the senior population. She decided to take a new position as a Care Manager Assistant at The Aging Space™, Inc. and it has been a perfect match!  She thoroughly enjoys her one-on-one interactions with her clients. Her only regret is that she didn’t start this type of work sooner! Just seeing that she can make someone laugh or put a smile on her client’s face always makes Diane feel that she has made the right decision.
